The case study

From a 90-day windowto a body of work.

We rewrote Atlas's fraud and onboarding workloads into Terraform-managed infra, with SLOs the regulator actually liked. Audit landed two weeks early. Pager volume dropped 80%. Below is the long version — the brief, the approach, and the numbers we put on the wall after launch.

Atlas's fraud and onboarding workloads ran on three different cloud accounts with copy-paste Terraform. The audit was 14 weeks long and produced a list nobody could action.

We landed a single AWS landing zone, codified every workload as typed Terraform modules, and tied SLOs to a Datadog + PagerDuty rotation. Compliance was a generated report, not a scramble.

Audit landed two weeks early. Pager volume fell 80%. The platform team hired two more people and got them productive in their first sprint.

How we ran it

Four pillars,one crew.

Strategy

We sat with their team, walked every existing flow, and wrote the brief on day three.

Design system

A small, opinionated component set the whole team could ship from on day one.

Engineering

Senior crew, weekly demos, real test coverage, and a deploy pipeline the team kept after handoff.

Launch + handoff

Monitored for two weeks post-launch, then handed the keys over with a runbook the team could read in a coffee.

Boring, observable, owned. That's the whole bar and they cleared it.
